Gretchen Gruntt is an artist and instructor specializing in printmaking, drawing, mosaics, painting and pottery.
As an instructor, Gretchen provides community service art classes at Copper Mountain College and the Desert Institute of Joshua Tree National Park.
In 2003, she founded the 29 Palms Creative Center & Gallery which offers a variety of services to the community including art openings, live music and performance art, classes, workshops and art studio rentals.
Grunt graduated with distinction from Sonoma State University after an intensive two-year study in the traditional printmaking methods of etching and lithography.
Gretchen donates 3% of her art sales to the Mojave Desert Land Trust in an effort to give back thanks.

Doug Whitfield is a masterful stained glass artist who enjoys teaching the art of designing and cutting glass at the 29 Palms Creative Center.
Doug began learning how to create stained glass pieces as a youngster while his father was teaching him the ropes of the glass industry.
