JENIFER PALMER LACY![]() 10" x 28" 2011 Vasquez Rocks Diptych Jenifer Palmer-Lacy prismacolor pencil, acrylic, and luminous Born in Oklahoma and raised in Texas, Jenifer Palmer Lacy first stopped in Joshua Tree in 1979. Much of her work is inspired by the desert landscape. Lacy is a plein air painter, sometimes taking several years to complete a project on site in watercolor, acrylic, luminous acrylic, and/or prismacolor pencil on canvas or paper. Lacy studied papel picado with Berta Sosa in Highland Park, CA. Her Masters thesis project at California State University Dominguez Hills, is a panoramic view of the ridge line of Elysian Park as seen from the Los Angeles River, which took two years to complete onsite at Taylor Yard. |
