Born and raised on a farm in central Nebraska, Marcia Geiger discovered an aptitude for drawing at six, preferring to "sketch in rather than sleep." She later received a degree in Commercial Art, moving to Holland for several years, where the European esthetic would educate and influence a progressive creativity in painting. She has had the privilege to study with local artist Irene Scoggin-Bertrand, and is perhaps best known for her portraits of famous vintage electric guitars, at times with famous fingers plucking the strings.
