Walter’s love of painting blossomed when he was 86 after he was given paints, easel and canvases for his birthday. His paintings and story continue to inspire others. Currently he has eleven paintings on display at the San Bernardino County Department of Aging and Adult Services in the City of San Bernardino.

On August 5th 2011 Walter will celebrate his 92nd birthday. He plans to continue his painting, expanding his portfolio and sharing the fruits of his talent with others until he is at least 100 years young. "...Keep your mind busy and help others. No matter what, try to keep a positive attitude.” This is his recipe for a long life.

ROCKY ARNOLD was born in 1957. In 1960, the Arnold family moved from Alaska to the west end of Yucca Vallery, CA. Since then the High Desert has been the only place that Rocky has called home.

Rocky began puting Acrylic paint to canvas over seventeen years ago. The past few years Rocky has been experimenting wiht abstract expressionism.

Rocky's painitngs have bee displayed in the 29 Palms City Hall as part of the Arts in Public Places program. His painting entitled Unleaded Soup received third place in an juried exhibition at the 29 Palms Art Gallery in 2010.
