Lenny Mazzo is a self taught mixed media artist who lives and works in Yucca Valley, CA.

Best known for his work with metal objects, Mazzo at times will add 30 - 40 coats of paint on top of an existing distressed surface with each coat hand sanded.

Inspired by a road trip in 1959 from Los Angeles to New York City, Mazzo was mesmerized by the conflicting images of the stark and stunning beauty of the desert and the sadness of abandoned cars and rusted machines. Now over 50 years later, Mazzo is living in the Mojave Desert finding joy in searching for old machine parts and using the skills his uncle passed on to him to manipulate the decayed surfaces.

Mazzo's work has been exhibited throughout Southern California, Arizona, Las Vegas, Nevada, and New York City.
