Desert Christ Park is an iconic and cultural garden of biblical statues that dot the desert landscape in the high desert community of Yucca Valley, CA. Established in 1951, the park retains over 50 works of snow-white steel-reinforced concrete characters depicting the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, including a three-story, 125 ton bas-relief facade of The Last Supper. To commemorate the park's 60th year there will be an Open House on Saturday,October 29, 2011, from 10 AM to 4 PM. All are welcome free of charge. The day will include park tours, music, historical tellers, BBQ and kids stuff.
